[Picture] Lee Bo-young cast in “Athena: Goddess of War”

Actress Lee Bo-young has been confirmed as the newest addition to the cast of Iris spinoff, “Athena: Goddess of War”.

Lee Bo-young has started off 2010 on a good note with different and interesting roles in dramas like KBS “The Birth of the Rich” and tvN “Harvest Villa”. She will finish off the year with an action-packed drama, “Athena: Goddess of War”.

Lee Bo-young has been cast in the drama as the president’s daughter, Jo Soo-young. Jo Soo-young is a free-spirited individual who studies abroad in Italy, where people there do not know she is the Korean president’s daughter. She leads a life of a normal student, just with some secret service agents watching her from afar.

The producers of “Athena: Goddess of War” revealed that Lee Bo-young will make an interesting entrance in the drama, as an international terrorist organization kidnaps her and takes her to the top of a mountain in Italy. All the agents including Jung Woo-sung’s character and Soo-ae’s character will try to save her at all odds. The producers added that fans will be able to witness Lee Bo-young’s strong and experienced acting skills.
“Athena: Goddess of War” has started filming on June 19, 2010 and will air in the later part of this year.
